Hamline considers itself to be a global university, and like the majority of the world it appears to have at best forgotten or at worst be wholly unconcerned with the victims of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. The bell atop Old Main was to ring out 35 times at 3:53 p.

As a human-an empathy-oriented and rationally-driven being-it is not hard to find myself disgusted with any number of prospects and situations in my life, my city, my country or my world. When struggling with my own confusion in this quickening life, I turn to the words of J.M. Coetzee, who said “all creatures come into the world bringing with them the memory of justice.” We are weaned off youthful idealism by the hard hammerings of a fast-paced and trying society and decide true peace is unattainable

Suchita Prasad (SP): Can you tell us how the passion for the Centered Leadership idea came about and how the journey has been so far? Joanna Barsh (JB): It was a creative process, when I decided to stop becoming invisible to the world. In 2007, serendipity struck and I was asked to help reinvent the Womens task force at McKinsey.

Two years from the 21st day of the month of December, your world is going to end.You heard me its going to end. Ka-boom, blam-oh, buh-bye!Whoa, hold on a minute. Before you take out all your savings and blow it on a wild weekend in the city that never sleeps (because its too hopped up on Cocaine and energy drinks) let me tell you that this is only the prediction of the apocalypse – rather than the absolute certainty of it happening.

Last year, Kid Cudi made a tripped-out mark on hip-hop with his debut album, Man on the Moon: the End of the Day . His near-whisper delivery didnt exactly contain any substantial lyrical prowess, but combined with the spacey, and at times creepy, production, it was a great way for Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi) to introduce himself and his demons to the world.

As a staunch fan of Tyler Perry, I have watched all of his movies. While I think that he has done a phenomenal job with all his productions, the film For Colored Girls that just debuted in November 2010 is so far his best! The Movie For Colored Girls is a very informative, inspiring, and inspirational movie to not only black women but to all women around the world.

Just as everyone was preparing for a Yankees-Phillies rematch in the World Series, their two opponents have thrown everyone through a loop. Both the Rangers and Giants had taken 3-1 leads in their respective series. The Yankees went on to win Game 5 to make the series 3-2, as have our very own fighting Phils.
