Campus mourns loss of student who took his life

Leo King, a 20-year-old junior safety management major, was found dead early Wednesday morning of an apparent suicide in his home on Kelly Boulevard in Slippery Rock.According to the public information release report from the Pennsylvania State Police, the cause of death was asphyxiation.

Murphy takes leave of absence

Student Body President Michelle Murphy is taking a senate approved leave of absence that will end Dec. 9. The leave of absence is not only from the student senates weekly Wednesday meetings, but is technically from her position as student body president.

Mahmud memorialized on campus

A memorial service was held on Wednesday at the Mary Dod Brown Memorial Chapel for a Lincoln senior whose body was found last month.Lincoln students, faculty, friends and family of the late senior, Talha Ahmad Mahmud, waited in line to write their final goodbyes and past memories in a farewell book.
