Time magazine pegs Jonathan Franzen as this generations Great American Novelist, and his new book Freedom is the work that clinched the title for him.

David Beam, a 2004 Drexel graduate and current Naval Submarine Officer, is planning to climb Mount Fuji in Japan this September along with three of his peers.Beam and his team hope to accomplish the task of “4-in-24,” climbing Mount Fuji four times in one day.
