Stephanie Murray told her new Colonel soccer teammates that back home in Whitby, Ontario, she had a pet beaver named Arnold. Murrays club and Eastern teammate, Heather Bruce, convinced the team trampolines were too dangerous to own in Canada, so they were banned, and that neither of them had ever jumped on one.

Defensive errors lead to another loss

Eastern Kentucky sophomore quarterback TJ Pryor scored three rushing touchdowns and one passing touchdown Saturday, leading the Colonels to a 35-7 win over Eastern. Pryors three rushing touchdowns were the first three touchdowns of the game for either team, helping the Colonels to a 21-0 lead with two mintes, 16 seconds to go in the first half.

‘The Town’ – worth the theater visit

As the skies darkened Tuesday evening, the mens soccer team (1-1) found itself working overtime, practicing extra corner kicks as a result of allowing a double-overtime goal off a corner kick in Sundays 2-1 loss to Pittsburgh. Even as practice ran more than 20-minutes long, freshman midfielder Emmett OConnor chased his mark around with a childlike enthusiasm that generally characterizes nearly half the team.

Alum to climb Mt. Fuji

David Beam, a 2004 Drexel graduate and current Naval Submarine Officer, is planning to climb Mount Fuji in Japan this September along with three of his peers.Beam and his team hope to accomplish the task of “4-in-24,” climbing Mount Fuji four times in one day.
