Capping off Black History Month, Grambling State Universitys Department of Theatre Arts presented the play, The State of Mississippi and the Face of Emmett Till written by Mamie Till Mobley and David Bar III. The story of Emmett Till is one that still pierces hearts and minds to this day.

NAACP starts Black History Month celebration

The NAACP, Lincoln University chapter kicked off Black History Month with their “Colors of Sankofa Week.” Beginning on Sunday, the organization started the week with a chapel service at the Mary Dod Brown Memorial Chapel. Continuing on Monday, there was a showing of the movie “Blood Done Sign My Name.
