Ice cancels classes Tuesday

Cameron Craig, a geographer and climatologist at Eastern, said the next two days will bring ice and snow to Charleston. Ice, freezing rain and occasional sleet will cover the area into the early evening today, accumulating up to a half to three quarters of an inch of ice.

Students who found themselves not frozen under a rock last Thursday may have noticed the sudden bout of inclement weather that struck the area, leaving roads slick and, by that evening, the campus closed for the following day.Living in the South, many students may be unaccustomed to traveling in the type of conditions that UTMs student body attempted to brave last week.

“Well, Grey Dogs is all about Carey Cardinal. Hes pretty much a university student who drives a truck, works as a bouncer in a bar and is just wasting away. Hes not a very good person, or student, but all of a sudden a localized pandemic starts sweeping the area causing these people who are affected to lose their minds and go feral,” said Ian Sandusky, General Arts and Sciences student, while explaining the idea behind his first novel, Grey Dogs – published by Severed Press on October 31.

The church is already breaking ground, pastored by Henry Tolbert with his wife LaToya Tolbert.The Tolberts are no strangers to the campus, struggles of young adults and the local spiritual scene.
